Hello! This has all come as a bit surprise. If you’d told me back in 2019 that this is what i’d be doing 4 years later I would not have believed you. But then again there’s a lot that we wouldn’t believe about the last few years so this is fairly minor in the grand scheme!

I started vlogging right at the start of the first Lockdown: April 2020. My job dematerialised before my eyes as covid struck and there was no furlough in sight so I was floundering a bit. What I did have was time on my hands, the start of Spring, sunshine and The Allotment. I also had a phone that would record video and so that very first Tuesday I uploaded a video diary… and I have uploaded a video every Tuesday since. As of writing this, we are on Vlog no.197! Theres been ups and downs along the way and I did go back to work on a fixed term contract for 9 months but when that was over I had to make a choice and I chose to give this a go properly!

I have a background in gardening and a passion for growing vegetables. In fact one of the reasons I stepped back from gardening and went to do a masters was because I was fed up of trying to convince rich yummy mummys in Chelsea that they should be growing chard in their long boarders of verbena. It was a loosing battle and I lost. But YouTube has given me what I couldn’t do before – I can grow veg, talk about growing veg, write about veg and encourage other people to do it too! Its perfect.
